Kabul (BNA) The national income compared to 9 months of last year has increased to Afs 15 billion, said Aziz Shams a spokesperson of finance ministry. 
He added that the income for the nine months shows Afs 71.4 billion Compared to the same period of last year which was Afs 57.7 billion. 
The income is derived from custom taxes, income taxes received from the government ministries and departments. 
He attributed the increase to the implementation of laws, amendment in some sections of laws, created facilities, system of internet in custom houses, transparency, struggle against corruption, upgrading of working capacities in the government departments and realization of the government ranks system.

Kabul (BNA) The economic committee of the council of Ministers led by Mohammad Karim Khalili, Vice-President held yesterday. 
As per the agenda, the meeting discussed transfer of woods from Kunar and Nooristan and prevention of cutting of forests of these regions and implementation of development projects and the challenges, as well as the draft of the contract of cement of Herat province. 
Deputy ministers of interior, finance, agriculture and irrigation, commerce and industry and high administration for supervision of strategy for struggle against corruption, Kunar governor and representative of commerce and industry were assigned to organize a meeting led by minister of economy and prepare a specific proposal for prevention of forests of the stated provinces and the transfer of existing woods from those provinces. 
Meanwhile, problems and challenges on implementation of development projects were assessed and it was decided that this issue be evaluated once again at the coming meeting of this committee and the result of assessments be presented to the Council of Ministers session. 
Meanwhile the draft of the contract of cement factory of Herat was confirmed and asked that a progress report of the cement factory of Dahane Ghuri be also presented to the committee meeting.

Pul-e-Alam (BNA) Distribution of winter stuffs to 700 vulnerable families was started on Monday in Logar province. 
The stuffs have been provided by Care, a non-government organization in Afghanistan. 
According to Mohammad Ajmal Stnekzai, provincial director of preparation office for counter incidents in Logar, each vulnerable family received four quilts, two porches, soap and washing powder, jackets and shoes. 
The source added such stuffs were also distributed by Care International on Sunday to 300 vulnerable families in Pul-e-Alam city of the province. 
It is worth mentioning that during the 15 days, winter stuffs have been distributed to 1500 vulnerable and displaced families in capital city and Mohammad Agha district of the province.

Kabul (BNA) Council of Ministers session instructed minister of mines Wahidullah Shahrani to sign agreement for extraction and development of oil from Amu River with national oil company of China. 
Based on the agreement, the Chinese company with an Afghan company is to launch extraction and development of oil in Qahqari, Bazar Kami and Zamarud Sai areas in Sar-e-Pul and Faryab provinces. 
The fuel’s quantity in the area has been estimated to 87 million barrel. 
According to draft of the agreement which was reviewed and discussed on Monday cabinet’s session, the National Company of China is to get 150% tax to the Afghan government. 
Afghanistan will also get 70% interest from the oil extraction. 
It is worth mentioning that it is the first agreement for extraction of oil in the country while the first fuel process is also included. 
Based on studies done by international organization, there are six big areas of gas and oil in various parts of the country as Amu River, Afghan Tajik, Kushaka, Herat, Katawaz and Helmand.
