MoU On TAPI Project Signed

Kabul (BNA) The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop gas Tran’s pipe from Turkmenistan to Pakistan onward to India through Afghanistan has been inked. 
Minister for Mines Wahidullah Shahrani and Biram Gaildi the Minister for Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan signed the agreement on behalf of their respected governments. 
Spokesman of the ministry of mines Jawad Omar said that Afghan delegation headed by minister Shahrani left for Turkmenistan on May 22 and during his stay he also attended the third congress on Turkmenistan gas and renewed Afghanistan commitment towards providing facilities to trans-pipe line through Afghanistan. 
During his stay, minister Shahrani also held meeting with the minister for petroleum of Pakistan and Indian minister for oil and gas as well as vice president of Turkmenistan. 
Implementation of TAPI project requires some 10 billion US dollars.
