Kabul (BNA) President Karzai chaired a special meeting in order to evaluate the progress of issues pertaining to the Kabul Bank.
At the meeting the attorney general presented a report in relation to progress in assessment of the Kabul Bank issues and stressed that so far USD 108 million cash has been recovered and USD 26 million has been paid by those indebted to the Kabul Bank after issuance of the order of president Karzai.
The report adds that the Pamir Airlines Company and the Bakhtar TV station has been sold out and also 147 apartment houses at the Isteqlal Township, 19 apartments in Dubai City, Gas Group, 150 equipped containers and some land have been taken over by the government as its property.
The special meeting after hearing the report decided that the attorney general office finalize the files of the bank and refer them immediately to the court for appropriate decisions on them.
It is said that the meeting was also attended by vice presidents, the chief justice and chairman of Supreme Court, the attorney general, ministers of finance, commerce and industries and transport, the governor of the Afghanistan Bank and senior economic advisor of the presidential office.
