“Zabuli Changed Bank-e-Millie Into Int’l. Bank,” President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani said that Bank-e-Millie Afghan was the bases of the country’s industry and trade and that Abdul Majid Zabuli could successfully turned it into the international bank, Presidential press office stated.
In a meeting of the high economic council chaired by the country’s president called for a fundamental plan and strong supervision to standardize the country’s banks, said the statement. “The banks should have clear strategy and targets, there is a need for investment on the banks,” said the president as quoted in the statement emphasizing that the banks should be professional and their professional capacity should be investigated. The president instructed the ministry of finance to work on a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate banking system. He also said that the issue of management, standards and using technologies were important in banking system, the statement quoted. Touching on the country’s statistics, the president said that the traditional statistics will not meet the country’s requirements and there was a need for fundamental works in order to have a standard statistic society.
