Finance Ministry Urges For Budgetary Transparency, Balance

Kabul (BNA)  Deputy to the Ministry of Finance , Mohammad Khalid Payenda in a news conference on Saturday, said there was a need for budgetary transparency and balance, with having the civil society institutions members in the budgeting process, providing timely information to the people, bringing improvement in the budget structure and content, with using the international standards, BNA reported.
According to the agency the ministry hoped the plan could help Afghanistan to be rated second position in the regional accountability and transparency indexes, said the agency.
He said he hoped the inclusive amendments, such as transparency, effectiveness and further productivity, budget balance, international standards, which is lodged in the 1397’s budget could help Afghanistan take higher position in the regional ranking.
The Afghanistan international transparency representative who had attended the meeting, pledged all out cooperation with the ministry of finance.
The national budget was surveyed by the international budget partnership, during the finance minister’s trip to the Washington DC of the United States.
