NPC Approves 10 Contracts Worth 618m Afghani

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, National Procurement Commission (NPC) held meeting at the presidential palace the other day, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
According to the statement, the meeting reviewed 11 contracts and approved 10 of them worth over 618 million Afghanis.
The approved contracts include:
- Two contracts on procurement project of the ministry of agriculture, irrigation and livestock,
- Contract on procurement project of potable water in three sections based on contract related to the ministry of defense,
- Contract on fundamental repairing of 5 power generators related to the defense ministry,
- Contract on 113 Site Link Microwave connection project related to the interior ministry,
- Contract on procurement project of developing fiber optic network related to Afghan National Police,
- Contract on developing project of fiber optic network related to Afghan National Police,
- Contract on needed grains for prisons and detentions department related to interior ministry,
- Procurement contract on gas for interior ministry,
Besides, the project of Afghan hajis’ transferring to Saudi Arabia was approved by the commission, the statement added. During the meeting, President Ghani stressed on supporting domestic products and instructed the defense ministry to use domestic projects, the statement went on to say. Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, second vice president Sarwar Danesh, minister of economy, acting ministers of finance and justice, presidential senior advisor on infrastructural affairs, national observers and some others were present in the meeting.
