Draft Policies Of Ministry Of Mines Discussed In CM Economic Committee

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Karim Khalili, second vice- president chaired a meeting of the CM economic committee.
The meeting discussed the draft policies of ministry of mines.
According to the report of the ministry this national policy cover policy on mines, and other 16 polices in respect to mining, liquid gas, construction materials, decorative and construction stones, and other spheres.
Minister of mines said that implementation of these policies places the mines sector as an important economic sector in the country in the coming years.
Meanwhile, implementation of these polices create direct jobs for over 1.5 million jobless, expand exports, grow infrastructures including roads, electricity, railway line, and lays positive impacts on creation of security in the country.
The members of the economic committee expressed a series of their views and proposals on the polices in terms of role of private sector, processing of mine materials inside the country and restoration of security through attraction of investments in mine sector.
The economic committee considered the policies as positive and confirmed as beneficial for economic growth in the country.
The Khost Governor presented a report in regards to progress made in terms of security and increase of people’s trust towards the government. He also mentioned non-implementation of development projects, stoppage of work on Khost-Gardez road and building of airport, non-existence of connecting bridges between the center and the districts, non-existence of electricity current and reservoir dams as most significant demands of the people to improve life there.
The economic committee while appreciating the efforts of the Khost Governor and the leading body of the province in creation of proper atmosphere in the province, exchanged views with the members over how to address the problems in the province.
The economic committee issued instructions to the ministries of finance and economy to follow up implementation of the development projects in the province.
Meanwhile, the ministries of transport and civil aviation and public works were advised to that construction of the road and airport in the province should be followed up.
In another part of the meeting the resolution of the national economic commission of Senate for seeking solution for economic situation in the country was taken up and reiterated that some points of this resolution should be considered by members of the economic committee.
Meanwhile, based on the proposal of the ministry of urban development about construction f residential blocks of “Tehea Masken” it was decided that led by the economy ministry, the ministries of public works and urban development should specify the proposed blocks so that final decision is taken in this respect.
