Private Sector To Help Women Improve Economically, Mostafavi

Kabul (BNA) Azizi Bank financially assisted Women International Campaign Organization on Monday, BNA reported.
During the ceremony, Azizi Bank’s executive deputy Abdul Fatah Karimi said this $10000 was assisted to help business-women improve socially and economically, according to the agency.
According to him, the businesswomen in Parwan, Panjshir and Bamyan provinces would be financially assisted to they play their economic role in the society, BNA added.
Deputy minister of information and culture on finance, administrative and tourism affairs associate Prof. Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi briefly said considering high rate of poverty in the country, the private sector’s assistance to improve women economic level was precious, the statement went on to say.
Calling Azizi Bank’s cooperation with businesswomen a key step toward women economic growth, adding these cooperation should be expanded in other provinces as well, BNA continued.
She said women were the vulnerable segment of the society and need cooperation.  According to her, the private sector should also assist the women inflected to Tuberculosis and other types of diseases to be cured, the statement added.
Deputy minister of economy Mohammad Ismael Rahimi said based on figures, out of every 100 women, 36 of them were jobless which is concerning.  He added the private sector can help us in the respect.
Head of women International Campaign Organization Nasreen Rafiq said our aim was to help the women possess a small business.  She added her organization plans to expand the program in other provinces as well.
