President Ghani Meets China-Based Afghans

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met a number of Afghan traders in China and heard their demands and problems, the president press office said in a statement the other day.
During the meeting, at the outset, representing others, Azizullah and Zarif Faqiri spoke and thanked for the President’s attention. They said exports via Pakistan’s Karachi Port and Iran’s Abbas Port was costly and time-taking, asking the president to open cheap and alternative routes, the statement added.
Calling enhanced trade relations between Afghanistan and China in the benefit of the country, they said when they transferred money from China to Afghanistan and vice versa, they face with lots of problems, because, in the past, the transactions were done through remittance, but now the limitations’ rate has been increased. While praising the Afghan traders’ successes, the President said your successes were key, because, they were beneficial to Afghanistan. He added the shipment problems via Uzbekistan have somehow been solved and by establishing a packaging center in Uzbekistan’s Turmuz, these problems would completely be tackled.
