AWCCI Budget Should Be Spent in Productive Activities, President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with the officials of Afghanistan Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries (AWCCI), at the Presidential Palace the other day. According to BNA report, at the meeting attended by the country’s First Lady, Afsana Rahimi, chief director of the chamber’s board and Manizha Wafiq, chairwoman of the AWCCI spoke about their activities and thanked the President for his support to the creation of the entity and his special attention to businesswomen and craftswomen. The President thanked those businesswomen who have taken part in the meeting from Kabul, Nangarhar, Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif and Kandahar provinces and pledged for making the AWCCI permanent. The President said government administration and other entrepreneurs would never be allowed to prevent activities of the women chamber of commerce and industries. “The budgets of the AWCCI should be spent in the productive activities of the chamber,” said the President. The President also said the government institutions should purchase their needs from the AWCCI, if their services were standardized. He also said that a clear plan should be considered for the women entrepreneurs’ marketing.
