NPC Approves 14 Contracts Worth 3.8 Billion Afghanis

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the National Procurement Commission (NPC) held session the other day, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
During the meeting, 16 contracts were reviewed, after which 14 contracts worth 3.8 billion Afghani were approved by the commission, according to the statement.
The commission also approved the term tension of the project to construct 102 lobbies for hospitals related to the presidential national development supporting and operative unit.
Besides, NPC approved the suggestions on term extension of the development projects on fiber optic network in 14 field and central sites related to the interior ministry.
Likewise, the procurement project of Runway lights and Papi Light System for three airports were returned due to technical problems and the joint board of the civil aviation a administration, ministries of finance, water and power and national procurement authority were instructed to review the similar projects of the suggesting companies and present its report to the NPC meeting.
The meeting also approved the interior ministry’s request on getting bullet proof vehicles for the presidential election candidates.
NPC also discussed and approved many other contracts based on the agenda.
