NPC Approves 21 Contracts Worth Over 1.1 Billion Afghanis

Kabul (BNA) The National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved up to 21 contracts worth other 1.1 billion Afghanis in a weekly meeting chaired by the country’s President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani the other day, BNA reported.
The country’s President instructed the organs concerned not to sign contracts again with those companies failed to invest on execution of their projects. The approved contract included preparation of concrete metal pylons, OPGW line and ACSR mm2, procurement of 40 ampere megavolt stabilizers for the empowerment of Turkmenistan-Herat’s 220 kilowatt power line, procurement of 40 megawatt ampere stabilizer for the Nural Jihad substation and some others. Monitors from the national and international Afghanistan Transparency Watch, SIGAR and the Resolution-Support CSTC-A have also attended.
