Kabul (BNA) The private airlines companies selected chairman of their union yesterday.
In the election held to this end, Farid Paikar deputy head of the Kam Air was elected as chairman of the Board of Directors of the union of private airlines companies.
Mohammad Qurban Haqjo chairman of the Board of Directors of Chambers of Commerce and Industries called formation of the union as a good measure and added that this will bring about further coordination in provision of services by the airlines companies.
Dr. Daoud Najafi acting minister of transport and civil aviation also said that creation of the union is another positive step towards better coordination of activities of the companies.
He added that before creation of this union, the ministry of transport and civil aviation forced problems in contacting with the airlines however the union may ease this problem for the ministry.
