Enough Gas, Fuel In Government’s Reservoirs: Dr. Ahadi

Kabul (BNA) The minister of commerce and industry has enough gas and oil in its reservoirs, so the people shouldn’t concern over lack of the fuel.
Briefing the reporters in a news conference held on Wednesday, Dr Anwarul Haq Ahadi, minister of commerce and industry said, “Currently 10,000 oil and enough quantity of liquid gas are stored in the ministry’s reservoirs, so the people can buy liquid gas by 55 Afs in government stores and 60 Afs in open markets.
Ahadi stressed that those selling the gas in high price to be punished.
He added recently the price of gas had risen in Kabul city.
Therefore, minister of commerce and industry was obliged to take a step and control the price of liquid gas in the Afghan markets.
Minister of commerce asserted that minister of commerce and industry has enough quantity of gas in its reservoirs which could provide gas to Kabul residents for some months, so the people shouldn’t concern over this issue.
He said the minister has nearly 10,000 tons oil in its reservoirs, adding the ministry has bought nearly 1 million tons petroleum from Iran.
Ahadi concluded, there are 15 government fuel stations in Kabul city and ministry of commerce and industry is determined to increase the stations to 30.
It is worth mentioning that there are 150 shops in open markets, while there are 80 government shops for selling liquid gas in Kabul city.
