Russia; 2500 IS Loyalists Entered Afghanistan

Saturday September 22, 2018

Kabul (BNA) A senior Russian official claimed that 2500 IS members from Syria and Iraq have entered Afghanistan via Pakistan.
BNA quoting international sources reports that Anatoly Sedriov the head of Massive Security Treaty Organization recently in news session said, that since the beginning of the current year more than 2500 IS members have transported to Afghanistan via Pakistan territory.
He said the main danger is this that terrorists consider Afghanistan as a base for spreading their influence and the ideas of so called Islamic Caliphate in central and south Asia.
Sedriov pointed out that Central Asia is the place for the security of the organization and this situation has caused more concerns.
He added the activities of terrorist groups affiliated to Islamic State are the main threat to the countries of the region.
Although this Russian official acknowledged that IS terrorists inter Afghanistan via Pakistan but Russia considers Pakistan a good friend in fight against terrorism.
It should be said that about two months ago Russian central intelligence issuing a report, informed about the way of transportation of IS members from Syria and Iraq in to Afghanistan via Karachi Pakistan. Also, the report talked about presence of foreign nationals who fight in Afghanistan alongside IS.
Recently the US foreign ministry once again said that Pakistan has not changed its policy regarding to terrorist groups.
There is no any difference between two terrorist groups (Taliban and IS). The Afghans believe the two groups separated just by name, while they both work for ensuring the Pakistan and some other countries interests. IS also supported by Pakistan.

Kabul (BNA) In spite of concerns, Ashura the day of uprising and martyrdom day of Imam Hussain the grandson of great prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was held in an atmosphere of peace and security. Without doubt the efforts of security forces and the cooperation of people were obvious in that regard.
BNA social affairs analyst commenting on the issue writes holding Ashura in a peaceful and secure atmosphere once again made the authorities in debt of security forces.
Holding and co- memorizing Ashura in the country was followed with certain concerns. The concern and anxieties became more serious after terrorist groups during the last month aiming to create ethnical and religious differences among people, targeted educational institutions and cultural foundations ran by Shias. Luckily, in Afghanistan where ethnical and religious discrimination never exist the plot and conspiracies for damaging the national unity the real strength of Afghan people foiled.
Holding Ashura in a such peace atmosphere, proved that our security forces are capable for carrying g any great task and defending our national interests and in the same time made it clear that the Afghans respect the ideas and beliefs of each other and dear their national unity.
If today a problem emerges in Afghanistan and the ground provided for ethnical and religious confrontations, all such satanic programs are designed by foreign intelligence services for damaging physical and spiritual assets of Afghanistan. But the Afghan people have a message and that is,” we are one, one nation and the followers of the same faith.  Our religious beliefs have been the pivotal of our unity and our peaceful co- existence in the long history and efforts of the enemies of the country for damaging the unity of our people will never realize.
Our people in addition standing in a single rank for neutralizing the conspiracies of the enemies and terrorists and practically helping the security forces, displayed a high Afghan culture this is they avoid wandering in the streets, they did not create problem for traffic and observed the law, and by donating blood promoted the culture of humanism. In this way expressed their support from security forces that fight against terrorists to rescue not only Afghans but the entire humanity from the evil of terrorism. In this way the Afghan people commemorated the martyrdom of Hussain who rose up for ensuring freedom and justice and said no to the tyrannies and injustice prevailed in the then society.

Afghan Govt., Taliban Urged for Peace Talks

Saturday September 22, 2018

Kabul (BNA) The UN Security General Antonio Guterres on Thursday pushed for a dialogue between the Afghan government and the Taliban, which he said is essential to bring peace in the country.
“We know that the way for peace is difficult, but I’m a strong believer that, also in Afghanistan, dialogue is necessary, in this case dialogue between the government and the Taliban,” Guterres told reporters in a press conference held at the UN headquarters in New York. The UN Secertary General hoped that the circumstances will allow for that dialogue to take place and for that dialogue to be successful.  “I know it's complex.  I know it's difficult, but it's also the only way possible to then be able to more effectively combat terrorist organizations that operate in the country,” he said. “On the other hand, we are not organizing the elections, and we do not have, as you know, presence of peacekeeping forces in Afghanistan, but we'll do everything that we can in order to support a process to make it successful.  But we know that our capacity in that regard is obviously limited.  We don't have, as I said, a security presence in Afghanistan,” Guterres said. President Ghani is scheduled to address the session of the UN General Assembly on September 26, a day after Guterres presents his report to the world body and kicks off the general debate. US President Donald Trump is scheduled to address the General assembly on September 24.
