President Karzai Meets MCC Company Chairman

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai met with the chairman of the MCC company of China which having the contract for extraction of Ainak Copper Mine.
At the meeting, explained the progress of work on the mine and asked the government of Afghanistan to cooperate in ensuring the security of the mine.
President Karzai called the Ainak copper mines an important a vital project for continued economic growth for Afghanistan in the long-term and assured that the government of Afghanistan will use all its possibilities for ensuring the security of the mine.
At this meeting the chairman of the MCC thanked the Afghan government for security measures for the project and the cooperation of the Ministry of Mines for facilitating preliminary steps for extraction of the mine.

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai in his meeting with Andres Fogh Rasmussen NATO Secretary General who headed a high-ranking delegation of the North Atlantic Council and ISAF visited Kabul and exchanged views with him on transition of security transition, training and equipping of Afghan security forces, the NATO mission after 2014, security of the foreign troops after 2014 and publication of the incorrect reports by some of the western media on Afghanistan.
In respect to the security of foreign troops after the year 2014 said that in case war and insecurity continues in Afghanistan, the Afghan borders are not secure and the security of the foreign troops are taken as a priority, the people of Afghanistan will not allow its foreign government to ensure security for foreign troops in the country.
President Karzai stressed that the people of Afghanistan look into the security of foreign troops conditional to ensuring peace and stability in their country otherwise, they will event not support strategic cooperation, because without ensuring of peace and security in their country they do not see any interest in them.
President Karzai noted that though our people are vulnerable and poor but first of all of them want respect to their national sovereignty and ensuring of security for their country and their sons, so the legal status of foreign troops after 2014 lately depends on ensuring of security, stability and preservation of Afghanistan’s borders from outside invasions.
The NATO Secretary General at this meeting while confirming the concerns of President Karzai, in respect to the recent reports of International Crisis Group said that this report does not reflect the real pictures of the Afghanistan situation.
He added that the undertakings and cooperation of the international community and the NATO towards Afghanistan is long-term and the new NATO mission after 2014 will start and will concentrate on training, consultation and assistance to the security forces of Afghanistan.
He stressed further that the Afghan security forces so far has immense achievements and now they are maintaining the security responsibility of three thirds of their country’s population and in regions where these forces have taken over the security, violence have reduced.
He noted that the progress of the Afghan security forces an honor to every one of us and it is indicator of the fact that the security forces of Afghanistan are able to take over all security of the country.
It is said that the high-ranking delegation of NATO and ISAF include ambassadors of the NATO members countries and ISAF, in their separate meeting with General Besmellah Mohammadi Minister of National Defense, and Dr. Rangeen Dadfar Spanta National Security Advisor, once again reiterated on their commitments and support of their countries for financing, equipping and training of the Afghan security forces.

Kuwait To Soon Open Embassy In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) During a meeting with Amir-ul-Al-Kuwait the other day after which President Karzai returned home, opening the kingdom embassy was discussed and resolved to be opened soon in Kabul, the presidential office said Thursday.
Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Jaber Sabah also pledged to continue cooperation in different fields with Afghanistan and discuss the issues of cooperation with the Asian Monetary Fund and cooperation with the Afghan ministry of higher education.
President Karzai also thanked the king of his government and people cooperation with Afghanistan as well as the country’s support of Afghanistan ACD membership with both leaders vowing to widen cooperation with each other, the statement said.

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai at a meeting with his Tajik counterpart, Imam Ali Rahman discussed yesterday, the joint borders, protection against the influence of terrorist and drugs trafficking across the two countries borders, the other day.
At a meeting held between the two leaders, in Kuwait, after which president Karzai returned home, both sides expressed satisfactory over the friendly relations and emphasized on further development of ties between the two countries.
The two leaders also emphasized on the implementation of the projects for transit between the two countries and energy transfer to Afghanistan.

Kabul (BNA) Interior Minister General Ghulam Mujtaba Patang held meeting with French ambassador to Afghanistan, here yesterday.
In the meeting, the interior minister besides expressing gratitude over French support in the past, calling for more support in providing training to national police.
The issue of establishing of police training center in Shuburghan, capacity building and giving training to police and prison directors were discussed.
The French ambassador while backing the proposals also invited the interior minister to visit French and discuss the issues with his French counterpart.
According to another, the interior minister also met the head of US ambassador on justice yesterday.
In the meeting the modalities of struggle against drug and drug traffickers were discussed during which the US dignitaries assured Washington’s firm support in fighting drug and giving training the counter-narcotics police.

Dr. Raheen Visits Ghour Province

Kabul (BNA) In order to realize the decree No 45 of the president Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen Minister of Information and Culture while Karamuddeen Rezazada deputy of the people at the National Assembly was accompanying him arrived in Ghour province.
Dr. Raheen after meeting with the governor went to visit the Jam Minaret and assessed the present statues of the minaret.
He regretted over the present situation emanating from flood on the surrounding of the minaret and he said that this issue has been shared with the UNESCO and other sources.
Dr. Raheen also visited the remaining of the Zuhak Qala having historical background of over 2000 years.
Ha also visited the local TV studio and promised cooperation for its equipping.
Dr. Raheen also met with some elders, ulema, intellectuals, and members of the civil society as well as the head of the provincial council and its members.
He promised that a seminar about “Ghour on the course of history”.
Meanwhile an agreement for reconstruction of the Jam Minaret was signed the other day with the US embassy representatives.

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai deeply condemned killing of three innocent children during an anti-insurgents’ NATO air raids in southern Helmand province, president press office said Thursday.
The statement quoted Karzai as saying that the NATO operation during which civilians, particularly, women and children are being killed and their properties being lost can never be justifiable.
Karzai instructed the provincial officials to launch investigation into the case and report the presidential office as soon as possible, the statement said.
Three children were killed, after a NATO air strike bombed on the possible insurgent activating in Tangan Godar area, Naway district of Helmadn province, the other day.

Kabul (BNA) The president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan strongly condemned planting of street mines that killed innocent countrymen in Balkh province yesterday.
According to a report of interior ministry, a passenger vehicle which was carrying a number of countrymen for participation at the marriage ceremony in Dawlatabad district of Balkh hit a street mine as a result of which 19 occupants were martyred and 14 others wounded.
The president strongly condemned this terrorist and inhuman act on the path of the innocent people and considered it an enmity with humanity.
The president added that those who are turning the joy and happiness of people into pains will not remain without punishment in this world and they will suffer in the other world as well.
President Karzai conveyed his deep sympathies over the martyrdom of the innocent countrymen to the bereaved families of martyrs and wished peace for the souls of the martyrs and asked patience for the family members.

Imran Khan Has No Right To Issue Fatwa: Ulema

Kabul (BNA) Ulema or religious scholars and prayers leaders in their sermons on Friday congregations said that since Pakistani cricket-turn politician has no knowledge about Islam he has no right to issue Fatwa, saying the former cricketer had issued the Fatwa for Jihad against Afghans with the support of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. 
The Ulema pointed out that Afghanistan as a sovereign state is a Mujahid nation which defeated the former Soviet Union by Jehid and paved the way for the independence of central Asian countries. 
The Ulema or religious leaders have also unanimously termed Imran Khan’s Fatwa as satanic, enmity and strongly condemned it.

Kabul (BNA) The first-ever meeting of the High Council for Urban Development with Dr. Hasan Abdullahi the minister for Urban development on chair held its meeting yesterday.
According to the public relation office of the ministry for urban development, in the meeting attended by engineer Sayed Mohammad Amain the advisor on planning for transport ministry, engineer Shair Mohammad Hajjizada the deputy for the economy ministry and representatives from the ministry of interior, public work ministry and Kabul Municipality, Dr. Hasan Abdullah noted emphasized for drafting a comprehensive law with regard to city construction and living in cities. 
After delivering speeches and suggestions by the participants, the minister for urban development stated that the High Council for Urban Development should be regulated and sent to the concerned organs. 
It was also decided that each ministry should present its suggestion with regard to the master plan.
The participants also proposed formation of a technical commission with the membership of the deputy of each ministry.
