500 Youths Facilitated To Study

Kabul (BNA) The directorate for youth affairs of the ministry for information and culture has agreed with Pishgam higher education institute to provide admission to 500 youths with 50 percent discount, head of the youth affairs department Timor Shah Ishaqzai said, adding the agreement in this field was inked by himself Ishaqzai and director of Pishgam institute Mohammad Yaqub Nuri yesterday. 
Ishaqzai also added that some 30000 students would be introduced to higher education centers by the end of the year. 
Meantime, some of the students who got admission to the education institute through the youth affairs department have complained that the private education centers have violated the agreements.

US To Provide $40 Million To MoHE

Kabul (BNA) US ambassador to Afghanistan pledged to assist 40 million US dollars to the higher education sector. 
He promised this assistance during a meeting with the minister for higher education Dr. Abidullah Abid yesterday. 
Ambassador Ryen Crocker said that US has assisted 140 million US dollars to the education sector so far and would contribute 40 million US dollars more in the field.

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by Second Vice President, Mohammad Karim Khalili the economic committee of the council of ministers held session discussing problems of craftsmen and industrialists of the country, his office said. 
Presidential press office issued a statement to the BNA as saying that at the meeting, head of Afghanistan chamber of commerce and industries discussed the problems of the merchants and asked for solution from the organs concerned, the statement said. 
The head of national craftsmen also spoke at the meeting and asked for the solution of their problems and called lack of supporting fund for micro and middle enterprises the main problem faced by the craftsmen in the country. 
After discussing some issues such as municipality taxes, price of investment licenses etc, head of chamber of commerce and industries also discussed a number of proposals. 
The Second Vice President, Mohammad Karim Khalili heard the entire proposals of the meeting members and called them too prolific in economic development, reduction of unemployment and in general creation of stability in the country. 
The committee obliged the commission, the members of which were the deputies for the ministries of finance, commerce and the Kabul Municipality and representatives from the chamber of commerce and industries, AISA led by economy minister to present the report in the next economic committee meeting after full focus and analyses over the issues.

Kabul (BNA) In accordance with the provision of article 84 of Constitution of Afghanistan I approve the selection of Mohammad Usman Rehmani son of Mawlawi Arsalan Rehmani. 
The Independent Election Commission is assigned to process the procedure in this respect on the basis of provision of article 86 of Constitution. 
The minister of state for parliamentary affairs is assigned to officially introduce Mohammad Usman Rehmani to the National Assembly of Afghanistan.

Pul-i-Khomri (BNA) 83 armed insurgents were jointed to peace process in Baghlan province yesterday. 
These insurgents led by commander Ziaulhaq with 40 different types of arms were joined to government. 
Colonel, Asadullah Shirzad, police chief of Baghlan said to BNA, these insurgents had activity against government in the vicinities of Farang district.
Due to efforts of in charges of peace high council the insurgents were joined to peace process. 
Abdul Samad Stanekzai, head of peace provincial committee of Baghlan said, from starting of the current year till now, 96 insurgents with 64 different types of arms were joined to peace process in this province.

School Student’s Poisoned For 6 Rounds

Taliqan (BNA) Students of a girls’ school were poisoned again in Takhar province yesterday. 
This is the 6th round that enemies of Afghan people poisoned girls’ schools in Takhar province. 
Mohammad Hosian governor of Rostaq district said to BNA, 52 students of the central girls’ high school were poisoned during entrance to school. 
Students were transferred by security forces and their parents to civil hospital of that district which are under treatment, said the source. 
Students of this school were poisoned one month back as well. 
According to security forces of Takhar, in 3 last days, 14 persons have been arrested on charges of the case and are under investigation by police.

Terrorist Attack Prevented In Ghazni

Ghazni (BNA) Terrorist attack prevented in Ghazni province. 
Security authorities said Taliban placed a gallon of explosive materials in a crowded area in the vicinities of Khogyani district and wanted to carry out suicide attack.
This material were discovered and defused by security forces. 
In other event, an arm cache was discovered in the vicinities of Qarabagh district of that province. 
Mohammad Najib Sultani said different anti-vehicle mines and grenades bombs, several pistols, and Kalashnikovs and explosive materials were seized from this cache.

11 Armed Rebels Killed In Provinces

Kabul (BNA) Afghan and coalition forces in 24 last hours conducted several operations in the provinces of the country, and killed 11 armed rebels. 
Interior ministry press office said to BNA. The operations took place in the outskirts of Zabul, Ghazni, Khost, Paktia and Paktika provinces in which 11 armed Taliban rebels were killed, 156 wounded and 30 others have been detained. 
Huge quantity of arms, explosive materials and 12 motorbikes were seized by Afghan forces. 
Meanwhile, the anti narcotic police in an operation arrested a narcotic smuggler with 48 kg of opium from vicinities of Gereshk district of Helmand province.

Maidan-Wardak (BNA) Three members of Al-qaeda network were killed in air attack of NATO forces in Maidan-Wardak province last night. 
Dr.  Fazel Karim Muslim governor of Sayedabad said to BNA, ISAF conducted a special operation in Danoki area, Sayedabad district, in which they killed three members of Al-qaeda network. 
These Al-qaeda members gathered with Taliban in Sayedabad district and organized terrorist attacks against government, said the source. 
It is said that the ISAF and Afghan forces had no casualties in this operation.

317 kg Of Narcotic Discovered In Kandahar

Kandahar (BNA) 317 kg of narcotic was discovered by security personnel in Kandahar province yesterday. 
This narcotic has been discovered in a military operation of Afghan and NATO forces from outskirts of Panjwai district.
