Road Asphalted In Helmand

Lashkarga (BNA) The asphalting work of one Km road was executed in Nadali district of Helmand province today. 
Habibullah Shamlani governor of Nadali district said to BNA, this road connected Chamirzai area with the center of Nadali district. 
This road has one km length and 7 km wide and has been asphalted with the financial assistance of British at the cost of more than Afs 2500,000 within three last months.
With asphalting of this road transportation problems of more then 2000 families have been tackled.

Lashkarga (BNA) Seven civilians were martyred in two mine blast occurred in Helmand province yesterday. 
According to Helmand press office, the first event occurred when a Saracha car struck with a mine in Khwajen area, Washir district, in which four civilians were martyred. 
The second event occurred in Nadali district when a Town-ice car struck with a roadside mine, in which two children and a woman were martyred.

Baghlan (BNA) Militias jointed to the government received cash assistance in Baghlan province today. 
Ramazan Sohrai in charge of peace council of Baghlan said to this news agency, 159 militias who giving up violence have been received cash money by peace council. 
According to Sahrai, each person has got Afs. 5000 and each commander received Afs.10, 000.

Japan Pledges $7 m To Afghan Health Sector

Kabul (BNA) Japan will assist $7 milion to Afghanistan to be spent in the health section, an official said.
The agreement was signed on Sunday between Dr. Amanulah Jaihoon, political for Afghan ministry of foreign affairs and Japan ambassador to Kabul.
While signing the agreement, Dr. Amanullah said the assistance will be spent for improvement of health sector in Ghor province where 600,000 residents will benefit.
Acting minister Dr. Suraya Dalil, who also attended the ceremony, said provincial hospital of Ghor province will be reconstructed by the assistance. 
She said the project will be completed in two years in Ghor province. Dr. Dalil appreciated Japan for its assistance to Afghan people particularly in health sector.
Japanese ambassador also spoke in the ceremony and reiterated his country’s further assistance to Afghan people.

Mine Explosion Kills Five In Kunduz

Kabul (BNA) Five members of a family had been killed and wounded when a mine exploded in Khanabad district of Kunduz province.
According to the Security authorities of Kunduz province this incident occurred yesterday around 4:00 pm in a house in Janat Bagh area of Khanabad district of Kunduz province.
It is worth mentioning that two members of a family were killed and three others wounded in the explosion.
The mine was placed inside a house close to a stove.
Primary investigation shows that, personal enmities are the main case of this incident.

Kabul (BNA) Herat traffic police director accused of corruption has been detained by the police, said an official.
Herat police have accused provincial director of traffic police of corruption and bribery resulting in his detention the other day.
According to Delawar Shah Delawar, provincial director of security in Herat, the detainee has been submitted to relevant organs for further judicial investigation.
It is expected that his case is to be followed very soon.
The arrest was implemented after Afghan ministry of interior started its reviews in provincial directorate of traffic police in Herat.
A delegation from the ministry of interior (MoI) has recently traveled to Herat province to launch investigation in to the case.

ANA Forces Discover Weapons, Ammunitions

Kabul (BNA) The authorities of defense ministry announced that their forces discovered and seized a quantity of weapons and ammunitions in Kandahar and Helmand provinces. 
Moreover, an Afghan National army soldier killed while performing his duty in Kandahar province. 
Forces belong to Atal 205 battalion seized three mortar shells, one rocket propelled grenade RPG, 52 heavy machinegun bullets, 4 heavy machine guns and a motorcycle during an operation conducted in Zheray district of Kandahar province. 
In a separate military operation Afghan national army forces sized seven landmines along with two bags full of poppy seeds from “Gremsair” and Mussa Qala districts of Helmand province.

Police Seize 70 kg Heroine In Nangarhar

Kabul (BNA) Border police authorities of Nangarhar province announced that their forces seized 70 kg of Heroine in “Khogyani” district of Nangarhar province. 
Edris Mohammad, the press officer of east zone border police told this news agency that their forces discovered 17 packs of heroine which were skillfully packed in a Toyota Corolla car in Wazir Ahmad Khail area of Khogyani district of Nangarhar province. 
The drug traffickers engaged in a gun battle with the border police forces and after a while escaped from the area. 
No casualties occurred to the border police forces, Mr. Mohammad added. 
It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of this year, Nangarhar border police seized around ten tons of narcotics from different areas of eastern Afghanistan.

Kabul (BNA) Spokesperson for the foreign ministry told media over details of economic cooperation conference of Tokyo for Afghanistan. 
Janan Mosazai the spokesperson of the ministry who was briefing the press said that the economic cooperation conference of Tokyo for Afghanistan will be held in July of current year at the foreign ministers levels. 
He added that the conference will discuss two important issues as the extent of international assistance till 2025 for Afghanistan and upgrading the effectiveness of world aid and it’s expending through the Afghan government budget. 
He stressed that the foreign minister of Japan in his visit to Kabul exchanged views in his separate meeting with president Karzai and other high authorities of the country on important and basic issues pertaining to the Tokyo conference. 
At this press conference Janan Mosazai also talked about the fifth round of summit of regional cooperation that is expected to be held on the fifth and sixth of Hamal of 1391 hosted by Tajikistan in Dushanbe city. 
He stressed that this summit will be participated by Presidents of Afghanistan, Tajikistan and issues relating to poverty and security will be taken up. 
According to Mosazai four summits of the regional cooperation were held in India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Turkey.

Kabul (BNA) Municipality with cooperation of Pashtani Bank has opened bank account for rehabilitation of historic places as Darul Aman, Cheheston and Tajj Beg. 
In the opening ceremony of the bank account which was held in Pashtani Bank message of President Hamid Karzai was read out by Eng.  Mohammad Younis Nawandish, Kabul mayor. 
The message said, “Afghan people have to actively participate in renovation and reconstruction of the country’s historic palaces and places. 
I’m appreciating this step of Kabul municipality and asking the people to take part in reconstruction of these historic places.” 
After the Kabul mayor spoke and said Kabul municipality has decided to reconstruct and renovate historic palaces and places of Kabul with cooperation of national traders and Afghan people. 
Therefore, by opening the bank account in Pashtani Bank, reconstruction culture of historic place and palaces by people in Kabul city is a good program so that the Afghan people take part in this important scheme. 
Farooq Wardak, Afghan minister of education also spoke in the ceremony and said, “Participation of people in development projects in Kabul city is important, adding I will convince the ministry’s personnel to financially assist the account. 
The ceremony was also attended by a number of members for Afghan cabinet, national assembly, and traders and Kabul people council.
