ISLAMABAD: PakistanPrisedent Asif Zardari  has assured Iranian presedent Ahmadi Nijad  that in case of US attack on Iran, Pakistan will not provide any assistance to US forces.

ISLAMABAD: Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has urged Pakistan to resume Nato supplies and charge increased levy, as it will benefit both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

He was talking to senior journalists over the breakfast here today.

While responding to questions about talks between the US and Taliban and role of Afghan government, he said we are aware of US-Taliban contacts but we would decide where to hold Afghan-Taliban talks.

The Taliban can open office in Qatar but Kabul will hold talks in Turkey or Saudi Arabia with them.

Upon a query over Indian influence in Afghanistan, Karzai said Pakistan does not need to worry about it as Pakistan and India are already engaged in trade agreements.

WASHINGTON: United States Thursday expressed ‘concern’ over the recent public appearance of Hafiz Saeed at a Difa e Pakisan rally in Karachi.

The statement issued by US State Department said that Lashkar e Taiba and Jamaat ud Dawa is internationally sanctioned because of its associates with al Qaeda.

It said that “We have and continue to urge the government of Pakistan to uphold its obligations in accordance with UN Security Council resolution 1267/1989.

Meanwhile on trilateral meeting in Islamabad, US said that we support the process of talks among Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran, adding that the regional states need to support the process if its going to be successful.

During a daily press briefing, US State Department's spokesman Victoria Nuland said that the US was not trying to stop legitimate trade in food, medicines and these kinds of things between Iran and its neighbours.

(BNA) President Hamid Karzai met on Thursday late afternoon with Qazi Hussain Ahmad, leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and deputy leader of the Jamiat-e-Ulamai Islam and members of their leadership.

President Karzai told the visiting parties’ leadership that their deep knowledge of Afghanistan went back to the time of Jihad, during which they had helped Afghans with their holy war.

The President sought the party leaders’ help and cooperation as “important” for the peace process in Afghanistan.

The President warned that if the situation persisted unaddressed, not only the two countries would suffer even greater, but would be harmful to the region and the entire Muslim world.

The President reminded the party leadership that terrorism and extremism threatened the people of the region extended on both sides of the Durand Line.

The President termed very important the access to education for the children and youth especially of the Durand Line region and stressed that it was up to these parties to preach the Islamic instructions on education for girls and not to allow girl schools to get closed as this was their religious and humanitarian duty.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad and deputy Jamiat-e-Ulamai Islam vowed full cooperation in the above mentioned areas and noted that by establishing constant contacts, they would make every effort for that end.

Herat (BNA) 1050 educational personnel including teachers and directors of Herat schools received vocational trainings. 
In three separate courses, they received modern skills of teaching and management. 
Basir Taheri education head of Herat said to BNA, in this training program, teachers and directors of schools from center and districts of that province attended. 
In this 12 days programs participants taught by experts of education ministry. 
Education head of Herat province said that they will continue this program for teachers and other directors of schools in that province.

2 Arm Caches Of Taliban Discovered In Herat

Herat (BNA) The Afghan forces in two separate operations in Herat province discovered two arms caches of Taliban. 
The arm caches have been discovered during operation by national army police from outskirts of Adersekan and Gozra districts on Thursday. 
Police of Herat said to BNA, Taliban used from these caches for carrying out of terrorist attacks in that province. 
No one has been detained regarding to the case.

Kandahar (BNA) Three armed Taliban insurgents were killed in a clash by NATO forces in Kandahar province yesterday. 
This event occurred during searching operation of NATO forces. 
According to reports, NATO forces stopped the vehicle of these three Taliban insurgents but they escape. 
BNA quoting from a NATO press release said, in this clash three Taliban were killed and their vehicle along with arms and explosive materials were seized. 
No report is on hand from killing of civilians and NATO forces in this clash.

Ghazni (BNA) A young girl and three civilians were wounded in NATO air bombardment in Ghazni province yesterday. 
This event occurred in Shini village, Andeer district last night. 
Resident of the area said to BNA, the injured are member of a family,
Meanwhile, Faiz Mohammad Tofan security commander of Deh Yak district said to BNA, NATO wanted to target a group of Taliban which were hidden in this village.  
According to him this armed group of Taliban was under the NATO forces’ target, they entered into this village. A girl with four members of her family has been injured in the air attack of NATO forces. 
Eyewitnesses said that in this bombardment, the house of the family has been destroyed. 
Doctors of Ghazni central hospital reported health condition of a wounded critical.

3 Kidnappers Detained In Nangarhar

Nangarhar (BNA) The national security personnel in Nangarhar province arrested three kidnappers yesterday. 
These kidnappers wanted to abduct two persons from Jalalabad city were arrested. 
NSP department of Nangarhar said to BNA, two pistols were seized from the kidnappers. 
It is said that these kidnappers were arrested on charges of taking money from people and kidnap from Nangarhar province.

Four Persons Detained In Kunar

Kunar (BNA) The Afghan security forces in Kunar province detained four persons on charges of kidnapping and transferring of children to Pakistan for training of terroristic attacks. 
These persons are residents of Kunar province and wanted to kidnap at least 41 children for training of terrorist attack to Pakistan were detained. 
Police of Kunar said to BNA, these four persons wanted to transfer the children to Pakistan. 
Abdul Sabor Ghafrani a spokesman of education ministry said that they have more religious schools in Kunar to train children. 
According to Ghafrani, currently, education ministry has 650 scientific center and religious schools at the level of the country. 
According to police of Kunar province, these children have returned back to their families and investigation started from the arrested men.
