Khalili Chairs EC Economic Committee Meeting

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice-President Mohammad Karim Khalili chaired the Council of Ministers (CM) meeting yesterday. 
At the meeting views were exchanged on the agenda and two commissions were formed for debating the issues on the agenda. 
As regards the proposal of Ministry of Commerce and Industries of Afghanistan about lack of need for obtaining permission of export of goods by the unions relating to the commercial foundations of the country, the Committee decided that a commission consisting of representatives of the ministries of commerce and industry, economy, finance, agriculture and irrigation and the commerce and industries assess this issue and report their findings to the coming meeting of the CM committee.

Kabul (BNA) President Karzai told the private and government media yesterday that we are trying to help Afghanistan be free of negative rivalries and confrontations between the 2014 to 2024, but to be the place for cooperation, trade exchanges, and a great route between the central Asia, South Asia and Middle East. 
He added that the duty of the Afghan government is to exert all possible endeavors to align its policies with the neighbors and other countries that would give way for confrontations and rivalries. 
He stressed that we shall try that to keep Afghanistan way from the problems that others have among them and it would into a place where everyone be partner and in a way we were successful in this presently. 
Explaining the basic policy line of the country he said that the basic policy of the country will be pursued by the future government of Afghanistan that is friendship, improved ties, expansion of trade dealings with neighbors, expansion of relations with the Islam world and Arab countries, formation of strong strategic ties with the great countries of the region, like India that has already started from now on. 
He stressed further that we shall try to maintain very strong, high and basic relations with China, Russia as well as keep our relations with the US, western countries and Japan.

Arms Collection Program Commenced In Laghman

Kabul (BNAS) Police of Laghman province started arms collection program yesterday. 
It is said that in the first day of this program they managed to collect tens of arms from irresponsible parsons and seven persons have been detained for transferring of illegal arms in this province.  
Abdul Rahman Sarjang police chief of Laghman said to BNA that they managed to seize at least 100 light arms type of pistol from different areas of that province. 
This program have been launched for further insuring security in that province. 
Collection of arms from irresponsible persons has positive role in decreasing of crime in Laghman province, said Sarjang.

2 Schools Foundation Stone Lay Dawn In Zabul

Kabul (BNA) The foundation stone of Zarghoona Ana girl’s middle school and Rahman Mina primary school in the center of Zabul province were laid down by governor and in charges of education Depts. of that province yesterday. 
According to education ministry press office, the Zarghoona Ana   middle school will be constructed in two stories on an area of four jirib of lands which was donated by a resident of Qalat city and will have 16 classrooms, 4 administrative offices and other facilities.
The construction work of that school will be completed within one year. 
Also, the Rahman Mina primary school will be constructed in one store from budget of World Bank within 6 months and will have 8 classrooms, 4 administrative offices and other facilities.  Translated by Suraya-Yarzada

Raw Hashish Discovered In Kandahar

Kandahar (BNA) 300 Kg raw hashish was seized in an operation of national army forces from a house in Zheri district of Kandahar province yesterday. 
Commander of 3rd battalion of 205 army crops said to BNA, the hashish were discovered and seized by the national army forces in a searching operation from Zheri district of Kandahar province. 
In this operation, a number of mines, arms and a quantity of hashish and explosive device were seized by these forces, said the source.

3 Taliban Insurgents Detained In Ghazni

Ghazni (BNA) Personnel of national security Dept. detained three armed Taliban insurgents in Ghazni province yesterday. 
The head of the national security of Ghazni province said to BNA, these Taliban were detained in an operation from Qarabagh district. 
A set of Computer, 2 communication sets and a quantity of arms were seized from them. 
In another report, the personnel of that Dept. discovered an arm cache from Andeer district of that province.

New Shopping Mall Opens In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) The biggest-ever shopping center, a $ 22 million (1,078 million Afghanis) project, was opened in the Afghan capital Kabul, an official said on Monday. 
Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) head, members of parliament and traders participated at the inaugural ceremony for the shopping mall that was inaugurate in Shahr-i-Naw locality. 
Up to $12 million were spent on construction of the eight-storey building, with merchandise worth $10 million. 
The mall has construction, electronic materials, daily-use items and a gym, Mansoor Majeed, the centre owner, told this news agency. 
The center would serve as a great asset in the country’s economic improvement, the ACCI head Mohmmad Qurban Haqjo said. 
He asked the government to ensure security for the capital of traders to encourage other Afghan and foreign investors to invest in the country.  Majeed said he planned establish similar business centers in Herat City, Mazar-i-Sharif, and Jalalabad in the future.

NATO Copter Crashes In Zabul

Kabul (BNA) A copter of NATO forces crashed in Zabul province on Monday night which had no casualties.
This copter crashed in Shahjoy district of that province while it was there for assisting to a damaged cargo-plane of NATO.
Mohammad Sidiq district governor of Shahjoy told this news agency, a cargo-plane of NATO after landing in that district got technical problem and couldn’t fly, the copter has been send for assisting while it arrived in the area crashed.
According to the Shahjoy district governor, all the aircrew of the copter rescued.
Taliban in a telephonic contact with the media said that they targeted a copter of NATO forces in that district, but the district governor refused the claim of Taliban.
NATO has not declared anything in this regard yet.

Kabul (BNA) Fazel Hadi Muslimyar Chief of the Senate, met with some representatives of private schools. 
At the meeting the representatives of the private schools asked for amendment of private schools regulations and reduction of the price of electric energy. 
They said that around 100,000 students are pursuing education at those schools, but the in charges of the schools have been abused by the in charges of the education ministry and they complain of education ministry’s supervision methods. 
The speaker of the senate promised cooperation in reaching understanding with the education ministry and if needed he will assist a meeting with the president of the country. 
At the meeting Mohamoud Danishjo head of the commission for religious, cultural, education and higher education affairs and senator Eng. Mohammad Deen Hamdard were also present. 
Another report adds that Muslimyar met with the commander of local police and some elders of Nejrab district of Kapisa in his office. 
At the meeting the commander of local police of the Kapisa province set forth shortage of equipment and means and asked for attention of the government in this respect. 
Another report adds that the administrative body of the senate met with Kabul Mayor Eng.  Mohammad Yunos Nawandish. 
At the meeting they debated Municipality’s development plans and reconstruction of the Darul Aman Palace and the insignia of the senate was presented to Nawandish for his meritorious services. 
Meanwhile, the achievements of Qazi Faizullah Mujadidi head of the primary courts of courts of third precinct of Kabul were appreciated by the senate and he was presented with an appreciation letter.

Entrance Exam To High Institutions Begins

Terinkot (BNA) For the first time, 250 students of the high schools of provincial center and related districts of Uruzgan passed the entrance examination yesterday. 
It is said that this year, 300 students graduated from high school registered their names in this province that from among them, 245 students passed the entrance examination. 
This examination took place by the delegation of the ministry of higher education. 
Previously, the students of this province were passing the examination in Kandahar zone. 
According to another report, over 1000 graduates from high schools of Ghor province passed the entrance examination to higher education institutions. 
The governor of Ghor and two MPs visited the examination process and this process supervised by the delegation of higher studies ministry.
