World Disabled Day Marked In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of martyrs, disabled and social affairs on Tuesday marked the World Disabled Day by holding a ceremony in Kbul city. 
The day is marked in the country at the time in which WHO estimated that there are nearly 800,000 disabled in Afghanistan. 
The ceremony, which was attended by Afghan parliamentarians, advisors, general directors for the ministries, NGOs and a number of Afghan disabled, Suraya Paikan, deputy minister of martyrs, disabled and social affairs said, “Ministry of martyrs, disabled and social affairs is trying to provide further facilities to the disabled in various sectors as health, education, employment and shelters. 
Paikan added the ministry is determined to establish a disabled institute, saying by studying at the institute, the disabled children can receive various modern and standard lessons and programs like other individuals of the society. 
She also informed the participants related to setting up a number of vocational courses for Afghan disabled. 
According to deputy minister of martyrs, disabled and social affairs, based on estimation of WHO, there are 800,000 disabled in Afghanistan. 
Paikan said to address the problems of the Afghan disabled, inter-ministry’s committee has been set up according to decree of the president.

Kabul (BNA) Ahmad Zahir voice the outstanding singer of the country has won an outstanding place among other 50 voices globally. 
In a poll launched by the voice of America Ahmad Zahir has gained holder of golden voice of the years.

This poll was launched last year through internet as result of which the voice of Ahmad Zahir has been recognized as unique among the 50 outstanding voices of the world and this is the greatest achievement of the culture of this country. 
The ministry of information and culture congratulates the family of late Ahmad Zahir on this outstanding success and all the people of Afghanistan and stresses that Ahmad Zahir is not only has its fans in Afghanistan, but he was a unique star in the music skies of the globe and he deserves to be called the Golden voice of the years, Peace be upon his soul.
Safiullah the music director of late Ahmad Zahir who has been his close friend says that Ahmad Zahir with his less composes and songs and very short life has obtained such a great title and if he was alive he could achiever miracles and I as his poet, music director and his very close friend I asked the ministry of information and culture to award to his the “title of nightingale of Afghanistan and a music school is named after him.”

Afghan National Cricket Team Returns Home

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan national cricket team returned the country after winning the championship of 20 hours competitions held in Nepal. 
After defeating Hong Kong team in the final, the team got the championship. 
Afghanistan national cricket players on Tuesday morning arrived in the Kabul international Airport and were warmed received by deputy cricket board Shahzada Masoud, officials of national Olympic committee, cricket board, a number of parliamentarians and Afghan people. 
General director for Afghan national Olympic committee while considering the sports as ambassador of peace asked the government set up high sports council for further improvement of sports in the country. 
He also asked the people and national traders to support and encourage the Afghan players. 
During the competitions, the Afghan national cricket team defeated Bhutan, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman and Maldives and finally defeated the Hong Kong national team in the final and won the championship.

Kabul (BNA) A session was held for finalizing the agreements of transition of gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to India and Pakistan through Afghanistan. 
According to Jawad Omar, a spokesman for Afghan ministry of mines, in the session, which was attended by Afghan minister of mines Wahidullah Shahrani and Turkmen minister of gas and mines Berum Guldi Naderov, both sides discussed related to assignation of gas and price of the gas transition with accordance to four inter-government agreements between the two sides. 
They agreed with most of the agreement’s articles. It was decided that another session is to be held very soon for completion of this process. 
The Afghan minister of mines believes implementation of the projects is opening a new phase in consolidation of ties between Turkmenistan. 
Afghanistan, Pakistan and India and considered the implementation of the projects as effective in maintenance of stability in the region.

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai received UN special envoy to Afghanistan, Stephen De Mistura at the presidential palace the other day. 
At the meeting, president lauded the two years mission of the UN reprehensive in Afghanistan and hoped success for him in his next duties. 
Stephen De Mistura said about his two year mission in the country that however the mission had been faced with challenges, but it was too interesting for him. 
This is worthy mentioned that De Mistura’s two years mission had been ended in Afghanistan and thereafter, he would work as the deputy Italian foreign minister.

Kabul (BNA) In his meeting with the Afghan Cricket and Football team members who have strived hard in gaining the championship of the Asian matches, President Karzai appreciated them and congratulated their success. 
They provided information about their competitions and asked the president for providing facilities for their next success. 
President Karzai ordered the Minister of Finance Dr. Zakhilwal to facilitate provision of Afs. 100,000 to each member of both the teams and those who have obtained gold medal should be awarded with Afs. 100,000, the bronze winner members Afs. 70,000 and the silver winners to be given Afs, 50,000 as gift from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

5 Mine Planters Captured In Kandahar

Kandahar (BNA) Five mine planters were arrested by Afghan border police in Speen Boldak in Kandahar province. 
According to Kandahar governor office, the individuals were arrested by the police in Speen Boldakk district when they tried to plant mines in various areas. 
The source said the individuals newly entered to Afghanistan for carrying out terrorist acts.

Kabul (BNA) President Karzai met with the leading and a number of members of the Jamiat-e-Islami Afghanistan. 
Initially, the members of the Jamiate Shared lauded the efforts of the government to probe the martyrdom case of Prof. Rabbani hoping the perpetrators to be identified and bring to justice. 
Representing others, caretaker for the party, Salahuddin Rabbani, Enayatullah Shadab and Mohammad Nasim Faqiri spoke at the meeting strongly condemning the suicide attacks in Ashura days in Kabul, Kandahar and Mazar-e-Sharif and called the action the work of the enemies of Afghanistan and national unity. 
They said the Jamiate party emphasizes on national unity, sovereignty, national development and political stability in the country. 
The members of the party also asked for building of a cultural center and a library around the Ustad’s mausoleum as well as the Education University should be named after Ustad Shahed Burhanuddeen Rabani. 
The president appreciated the services of Ustad Shahed Burhanuddeen Rabbani towards restoration of peace for the country as well as during the Jehad era and called his death a big tragedy. 
President Karzai called Jamiate Islami as a national party and promised to name the Education University after him as well as their other demands will be taken up at the cabinet meeting.

Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai chaired the meeting of Jehadi leaders and national personalities at the presidential palace, the other day. 
First Vice President, Marshal Mohammad Qaseem Faheem, Prof. Hazrat Sebghatullah Mujaddedi, Pir Sayed Ahmad Gailani, Prof. Nimatullah Shahrani, Salahuddin Rabbani, Hajji Mohammad Mohaqeq, Hedayat Amin Arsala, Qeyamuddin Kashaf, Abdul Hadi  Arghandiwal, Mohammad Ismael Khan, Hajji Din Mohammad, Sayed Mansour Naderi, Prof. Gul Rahman Qazi, Hajji Sulaiman Noori and Arsalla Rahmanin had taken part in the meeting. 
They discussed the peace, process in details, shared their views and emphasized on the peace process under the resolution of Second Bonn conference and also resolved that in order to get access to the peace process in the future, the next meeting should be held.

Kabul (BNA) Hamid Karzai, president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in a meeting with Berum Guledi Naderov, Turkmen minister of gas and mine industry agreed Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, India and Pakistan are to sign an agreement for selling and buying gas in near future in Ishqabad. 
In the meeting, which was held yesterday afternoon at Presidential Palace, Naderov said the remaining issues of the session are to be finalized in a session with Afghan minister of mines in Ishqabad and the four countries will sign the agreement in Ishqabad in the offing. 
Afterwards, Hamid Karzai, president of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, while evaluating the projects as important said with the completion of the project, not only economic situation will be expedited among the four countries but also it would put positive impacts on security and stability in the region. 
Likewise, Turkmen minister of gas and mine industry expressed best wishes of Turkmenistan president to President Hamid Karzai. 
It is said the meeting was also attended by Afghan minister of mines and industry Wahidullah Shahrani and head of gas reservoir and fuel development for Turkmenistan Qurban Muradov.
