Kabul (BNA)  It is determined that Wahid Qasimi, a famous singer of the country  along with a number of local singers will soon perform a concert titled “Our voice for peace” here in Kabul. 
The concert has been initiated by Wahid Qasimi with close cooperation of information and culture ministry. 
The concert which will be attended by a number of local singers from Herat, Budghis, Bamyan, Nangarhar and Badakhshan will be held on Friday in Kabul. 
Jalal Noorani, advisor of ministry of information and culture in a meeting with participants of the concert talked about the ministry’s efforts towards improvement of Afghan music and informed the singers of the start of a new program by the ministry, adding for launching the program. An envoy will travel soon around the country to gather the country’s local singers. 
Related to aim of the concert, Wahid Qasimi said, “The concert aims to encourage the people of Afghanistan towards peace.” 
He added he planned to perform such concerts in other provinces of the country.

Kabul (BNA) The new building housing the National Radio-TV of Nangarhar was opened by Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen Minister of Information and Culture and the India ambassador to Kabul.
The new structure has been constructed with the financial support of India.
The new structure has been built with new standards having ten rooms, large conference hall and four large studios for recording programs.
The new structure covers an area of 50 Jiribs of land which is placed at the disposal of Ministry of Information and Culture by Governor of Nangarhar.
Dr. Raheen thanked India for assisting construction of the building and appreciated the Governor of Nangarhar for providing the land for the structure.
Dr. Raheen and his accompanying officials also visited Sarajul Emarat Palace of Ghazi Amanullah Khan in Jalalabad as well.
This palace once was the residence of King Amanullah Ghazi however during the crisis in Jalalabad it was toruched but Gul Agha Sherzai Governor of Nangarhar province repaired the palace with the assistance of donor foundations and retained its historical status.
Though 205 reconstruction work of the palace remains but Dr. Raheen promised that he will adopt measures for its completion.
Dr. Raheen and Indian ambassador visited the tomb of Najmudeen Akhundzada a Mujahid personality of the east during the Ghazi Amanullah reign and the tomb of Hajji Abdul Qadeer former vice president of president Karzai and laid wreaths of flowers on them.
Dr. Raheen and accompanying delegation attended a reception hosted in their honor by the Nangarhar Governor as well.

Kabul (BNA) The leading body of the ulema foundation delegation and some of the teachers of religious madares met with Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture. 
At the meeting a number of religious scholars talked on the importance of the Islamic teachings and the mission of the present generation towards it and the role of media in expansion of and strengthening of Islamic science. 
Dr. Raheen thanked the ulema towards the ministry and asked for their further cooperation with the ministry.

Kabul (BNA) Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen, Minister of Information and Culture chaired the preparatory commission for Nawruz.
Addressing the meeting Dr. Raheen said holding of the Nawruz festival after collapse of the Taliban was recognized in the first days of interim administration in Afghanistan. 
According to him Nawruz is quite beautiful and it is inherited from our forefathers and we to celebrate it in best manner. 
The authentic representatives of member ministries of the commission informed the meeting of their preparedness for this day. 
The member of this commission are representatives from the ministries of national defense, interior, foreign affairs, agriculture and irrigation, energy and water, public health, transport and civil aviation, department for preservation of environment, outstanding government personalities, national security department, Afghan Red Crescent society, national Olympic committee and the Kabul municipality.
