Abdul Ali Mustaghni’s Death Anniversary Commemorated

Kabul (BNA) A ceremony held for commemoration of 80th death anniversary of Abdul Ali Mustaghni, the country’s poet and writer.
The ceremony was held yesterday by provincial directorate of information and culture department for Maidan Wardak and attended by dozens of poets, writers, researchers and knowledgeable figures.
In a message of President Hamid Karzai read out in the ceremony named Abdul Ali Mustaghni as founder of Pashto modern literature of the country.
The message praised local officials of Maidan Wardak and cultural figures for holding such ceremonies. In a message of Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayeed Makhdoom Raheen, Abdul Ali Mustaghni was praised for his works towards enriching of Pashto language and culture. In the ceremony, cultural advisor to President Zalmai Hewadmal, governor of Maidan Wardak Abdul Majeed Khogyani, Dr. Shamsul Haq Aryanfar, Ustad Habubullah Rafi and Awrang Mukhtar also spoke related to life and cultural works of Abdul Ali Mustaghni.
