MoIC Supports Holding of Joint Book Exhibition, Cultural Events: Minister

Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture and Deputy Minister of Cultural Affairs Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari met with the Iranian cultural attaché here in Kabul, BNA reported.
At the outset, the Iranian cultural attaché Reza Malaki spoke related to joint cultural cooperation, holding of joint exhibition of books to be held in Kabul University and organizing of cultural events to discuss literature, mysticism and Sufism and asked acting Minister of Information and Culture to do more for enhancing of bilateral cultural cooperation.
Emphasizing on holding of cultural programs in coordination with Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC), Prof Bawari said his ministry was supporting holding of joint book exhibitions and cultural programs.
According to another report, acting minister of information and culture chaired the board committee meeting for intangible cultural heritage here yesterday.
Addressing the meeting, Prof. Bawari emphasized on recognition of the intangible cultural heritage and using of the neighboring countries’ experiences on developing national cultural policy.
Minister Bawari also insisted on consultation with cultural organizations while preparing the draft cultural policy. Meanwhile the board members expressed their views on the draft cultural policy and emphasized on line organs’ coordination and cooperation. They also insisted on recognition of the intangible cultural heritage across the country.
