Rahbeen Introduced As National Archive Director

Kabul (BNA) Based on proposal made by the Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) and approval of the president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Afsar Rahbeen has been appointed director of National archive, BNA reported. Yesterday.
Presidential decree was read-out by human resources director of the ministry of Information and Culture Ahmad Zia Anwari on the aspect, the agency added.
Later, MoIC advisor Dr. Tariq Rashad wished success the newly appointed director, calling him one of the well-known personalities that has worked in different key positions in the ministry.
Thanking MoIC officials, Mohammad Afsar Rahbeen said he was willing to introduce National Archive’s contents to Afghan national and the world.
He went on saying there were precious manuscripts in the archive which need to be introduced and researched in close coordination of the Academy of Sciences of Afghanistan, Kabul University and other scientific centers.
Afsar Rahbeen is a well-known poet, writer, translator and a cultural figure who has worked as cultural attaché to Afghan embassies in Iran and India.
