Coordination Meeting on Ainak Copper Mine Held

Kabul (BNA)  Chaired by Prof. Mohammad Rasul Bawary, the Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Cultural Affairs, a coordination meeting was held at the Kabul based World Bank office, BNA reported Monday.
The meeting was attended by a number of representatives from the ministry of mines and petroleum, Archeology department, UNESCO, Administration of Presidential Affairs and the World Bank, during which, the deputy minister called the meeting a provided opportunity helping the entire stakeholder administrations share their programs and operational plans about the ancient Ainak Copper Mines and the challenges ahead, the agency said.
The UNESCO representative also spoke about the organization’s archeology department in the Ainak Copper Mine, since the last few years, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, the representative of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum shared information about the contracts signed with the Chinese company and added that negotiations were going on review on the Chinese company and that this was important to taken decision on the ancient relics.
At the end of the meeting the entire stakeholders were asked to work in coordination with each other to reach the main target, according to the agency.
