‘Survey Work on Mes-e-Aynak Historic Site to be Started Next Week’

Kabul (BNA) General Director of World Bank in a meeting with acting Minister of Information and Culture Hasina Safi assured of the bank’s continued cooperation with MoIC.
In the meeting, excavations project of Mes-e-Aynak historic site, providing facility for excavations in the site and continuation of the bank’s cooperation with MoIC were discussed.
Meanwhile, survey work on the historic site determined to be started within a week by UNESCO in close cooperation with archaeologists of the ministry of information and culture was also discussed in the meeting.  Praising the World Bank for its cooperation with the ministry of information and culture in particular cultural fields, acting minister of information and culture asserted that in work of the Mes-e-Aynak project, local people living there should be also appointed so that they could get acquainted with the country’s  historic relics and take part in protection of site.
