Kabul (BNA) Second Vice-President Sarwar Danesh in the first ‘Imam Abu Hanifa International Symposium’ has said that Afghanistan is a good example of religious consensus and coexistence between Shiites and Sunni. The Symposium, attended by representatives of 15 Islamic countries, cabinet members and religious scholars, was opened yesterday by Second Vice-President Sarwar Danesh. Pointing to life and works of Imam Abu Hanifa, VP Danesh considered richness of Hanafi jurisprudence, tolerance, individually freedom, justice and rationality as principle characteristics of Hanafi’s jurisprudence. “The jurisprudence of Imam Abu Hanifa is richer than jurisprudence of most jurisprudent religions,” VP Danesh said, stressing that the extremism which has emerged by the name of Daesh and other groups is the toughest enemy of thoughts and character of Imam Abu Hanifa and his jurisprudence. He further said that Imam Abu Hanifa was avoiding extremism and never call any ahl-e-qibla as infidel.
