Kabul (BNA) Shahwali Marufi, an official at the Public Health Ministry, said that 2 people have died due to the disease.
According to him, 22 cases of Congo virus were registered during Eid al-Adha, the feast of animal slaughter.
The official blamed negligence while keeping and slaughtering animals for the rise in Congo diseases.  He said that people should wear gloves, mask and protective dress while slaughtering animals in order to avoid Congo virus. Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever is a viral disease and the virus is typically spread by tick bites of contact with livestock carrying the disease.
