Afghanistan Records 112 New COVID-19 Cases

Kabul (BNA) 112 new positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in different parts of the country over the last 24 hours, taking the nation’s overall tally to 35,615.
A statement from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said 333 individuals underwent testing during the period and 112 of them were diagnosed with the coronavirus. Balkh recorded 38 new cases while Herat saw 23 more infections. A least 20 fresh cases were registered in Ghor, 12 in Paktika, seven in Paktia, four in Badghis, two each in Kandahar, Nimroz and Nuristan and one each in Nangarhar and Laghman. Three people lost their lives to the pandemic while 76 others recovered from it in the past 24 hours. The number of deaths thus reached 1,186. As many as 23,739 people have recovered from the disease so far.
The Ministry of Public Health called on the people to follow medical instructions and guidelines to prevent further spread of the coronavirus in the country.
