Foreign forces should leave Afghan villages, President Karzai

Kabul (BNA) President Karzai in a meeting with the US defense Secretary, Leon Panetta asked for soon withdrawal of the foreign forces from the villages of Afghanistan and restore in their main military bases, as according to him, the security forces of the country had found capability to take security of their areas by their own.  In a meeting held in the presidential palace, both sides talked on continuing cooperation between the two countries and transition of security responsibility from the international forces to the Afghan led in 2013 instead of 2014.  Meanwhile, the US defense secretary said that he on behalf of the US government and people deeply expresses sympathies over the incident took place in the Zangabad village, Panjwayee district of southern Kandahar province in which more than one dozen civilians had been killed and wounded and assured for soon successful transition of the security process for responsibility from the international troops to the Afghan forces.  president Karzai also reiterated for quick stoppage of such an incident as there had been many such harrowing incidents been taken place in the country accompanying only by the foreign forces apology.  “Happening of such incidents had intensely damaged the relations between the two countries”, Karzai emphasized adding that such irksome incident should never be repeated in the future.  The trust between the Afghan people and the foreign forces had critically slapped  and it should be returned, he emphasized adding that the goal would be approached while the foreign forces pays full regard to the Afghan religion, tradition and may not allow their troops to enter the houses of the Afghans.  “They should completely focus on cooperation with reconstruction process in the country”, Karzai added asking for launching full investigation into the Panjwayee district incident and bringing the culprits to justice.  At the end, the US Panetta assured for soon brining the culprits to justice after full investigation into the incident.
