President Karzai Deeply Saddened Over The Material Losses Of Recent Floods

Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai deeply saddened over the material losses due to recent floods in different parts of the country and has instructed the national disaster preparedness department to dispatch emergency aid to the affected people. 
On the basis of reports of the department on Thursday as a result of flooding in Ubie, Pashtoon Zarghoon, Adreskan and Shindand districts of Herat province hundreds jiribs of agricultural land, orchards and residential homes were destroyed and hundreds of animals were perished. 
In Guzara district due to drowning of a bus into the river bed four people were killed and 16 others wounded and in Pahtoon Zarghoon district another four people were wounded. 
Meanwhile in flooding in Badghis province 100 jiribs of agricultural land have been destroyed and some animals perished. 
In Shahre Safa of Zabul province 139 families have been affected and in Tereenkut center of Uruzgan 300 families have been displaced. 
The president regretting the death of the countrymen conveyed his condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families of the victims of the floods and wish peace for the soul of the affected and patience for the victim families. 
The president instructed the in charges in the government to address the needs of the affected.
