Mazari Conferred Title Of ‘Martyr Of National Unity’

Kabul (BNA) Based on a decree, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani conferred the title of “Martyr of National Unity” to Shaheed Abdul Ali Mazari here yesterday, a presidential statement said.
In the ceremony which was held on this occasion, the president besides expressing condolences over 21st anniversary of martyrdom of Abdul Ali Mazari, said that all Afghans are equal to each other and the government is committed to strengthening of the equality.
The president said that Shaheed Mazari has worked for the national unity and had clear message for today and tomorrow of Afghanistan which was equality that has included in our constitution. According to the president, Shaheed Mazari had firm determination for peace and stability in the country and was not considered war as the solution to the ongoing conflicts. “Considering the tough situations, Shaheed Mazari was focusing on increasing of women’s role in society which his dreams have been fulfilled now,” the president said, adding that the messages of our martyrs should be understood so that clear visions for unity and solidarity to be formed. In the ceremony second vice-president Mohammad Sarwar Danesh, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah also spoke related to Shaheed Mazair, and called his goals were for justice, national unity and people participation in national affairs.
