People’s Protest Legitimate, Representatives’ Measure Great, CE

Kabul (BNA) in a luncheon arranged for the house of people speaker and members, by the CE office on Sunday, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah hailed the people protest legitimate, house members’ measure great and tolerance of Kabul residents laudable in the recent incident took place in Kabul.
Calling Ramadan, the holy month of charity and kindness, the CE hoped the country’s people embrace peace and stability in the country, said a statement from his office.
The CE also called the tolerance of the people in the recent deadly incident appraisable and said demonstration was the right of any Afghans.
He also thanked the house of people for its intervening and efforts to end tension and said security and stability was demand of the entire Afghan nation.  Speaker of the house, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi said the house of people was a responsible entity which has been gravely affected by the recent incidents.  He said an extraordinary session of the house was held and special commission with membership of the representatives from 34 provinces of the country was convened, once the incident took place, to issue some approvals for tightening security and bring reforms in the security organizations, said the statement.
Ibrahim also thanked the representatives of the protesters for their acceptance of the house suggestions to collect the sit-in tents and asked the government of national unity to introduce the remaining cabinet picks for vote of confidence from lawmakers, for what he said a balance among the three government forces, according to the statement.
