Political Solution Key To End War, CE

Kabul (BNA) Speaking during a ceremony to mark World Peace Day in Kabul, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said the main problem before restoration of peace in Afghanistan was the Taliban don’t believe in peace, Bakhar News Agency (BNA) reported.
“We are facing an imposed war, in which a political solution should be found for, “Dr. Abdullah said.
“The regional countries, concerned about Daesh is understandable, but supporting and strengthening another militant group against it, is not the solution,” CE Abdullah added.
He called on the countries not to allow to be used by waging war in Afghanistan.
Lauding the Afghan security forces capabilities, Dr. Abdullah said they had paved the ground for us to make effort on ensuring peace in the country.
Meanwhile, High Peace Council Chief Karim Khalili said that war was not the solution for Afghanistan.  He added peace is a serious need of Afghanistan.
