President Ghani Meets UK’s Mark Field

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Mark Field at his office on Monday, the statement from the presidential palace said.
In the meeting both sides discussed the US new strategy on Afghanistan and south Asia, peace and stability in the region, elections, trade and transit ties and other related regional issues, according to the statement.
“We would always be alongside the people and government of Afghanistan,” UK’s Mark Field said.
He assured of his country’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan and said we supported the US new strategy on Afghanistan and south Asia, the statement added.
Thanking the UK people and government for their supporter the last years, the president said after declaring the US new strategy, the situation has change an new opportunities have created a move which will result in ensuring peace and stability in the country and region.
