Teachers In Frontline Between Light & Darkness, CE

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah attended a special program in Rabe Balkhi High School to celebrate teacher’s day, his office said in a statement.
According to CE office, addressing the teachers and students, Dr. Abdullah said, “Teachers perform a very important job in very trying circumstances.”
“The war in Afghanistan is between light and darkness as well as ignorance and knowledge,” Dr. Abdullah said, adding some functions intended to turn off the light of education and knowledge, the statement added.
Congratulating the day to all teachers and great education families, Dr. Abdullah said, “Due to many problems, Afghanistan has left behind the caravan of development, but to retaliate the lost time, depends to teachers’ efforts,” the statement continued. “Your work is effective in the society’s reconstruction, stability, awareness growth and Afghanistan’s development,” Dr. Abdullah said.
“Teaching methods had changed all-over the world and the teachers should use modern and up-to-date teaching ways,” he added.
Dr. Abdullah assured the teachers that NUG’s leadership is committed to keep its promises before education system.
“The government is making effort to tackle the teachers’ problems in regard with their salaries, distribution of land and special townships,” Dr. Abdullah added.
