Dr. Abdullah Inaugurates Laghman’s Public Library

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah during his visit from Laghman Province here the other day together with deputy minister of culture and acting Minister of Information and Culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari opened the provincial public library, BNA reported.
At the ceremony, Dr. Abdullah pledged to further equip Laghman’s public library. He also appeared before the press at the library’s compound and answered to journalists’ questions. Meanwhile during his trip, the Chief Executive visited Qala-e-Saraj historical place and reviewed the ongoing reconstruction process.
Besides hinting to preservation of the cultural heritage, Dr. Abdullah appreciates those working in reconstruction process of the castle.
Saraj castle was built 109 years ago by Amir Habibullah Khan Son of Amir Abdul Rahman Khan and its reconstruction process has begun with 22 million Afghanis in 2017.
According to another report, Dr. Abdullah also visited Laghman University and discussed the institution’s challenges, pledging reconstruction of the road connecting the university with the center of the province as well as to solve other problems of the students.
