Dr. Abdullah Conveys Condolences To Iran-Iraq Border Earthquake Victims

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in a sympathy message said was saddened over powerful earthquake took place in Iraq and Iran.
"With deep sorrow I found that due to powerful earthquake in northeast of Iraq and west of Iran at least 140 people were killed and hundreds of others injured,” Dr. Abdullah was quoted in the statement released by his office as saying.
“I extend condolences on behalf of Afghan government and people to Islamic Republic of Iran and Republic of Iraq over killing and injuring of hundreds of people.  I pray for the souls of those killed and urgent recovery of those injured,” he added
A powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake that struck the Iraq-Iran border region killed hundreds of people across both countries, sent people fleeing their homes into the night and was felt as far away as the Mediterranean coast.
