First ‘Successful Women’s Festival’ Held In Kabul

Kabul (BNA) The first ‘successful women’s festival’ held here in Kabul on Thursday and many the country’s elite women’s works and achievements appreciated, BNA reported.
The festival was organized by Institute for peace, good governance and media, Ayena Association and Zan Tv, and was attended by deputy minister of administration, finance and tourism of the Ministry of Information and Culture Prof. Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi, Presidential advisor Malali Shenwari, a number of government officials, culturists and university lecturers.
Briefing the audience, Prof, Shahla Farid member of the board of directors said 500 women were initially nominated, where five out of which were selected for award and five other for the appreciation certificates. Presidential advisor MalaliShenwari called the festival important for women’s access to their rights and highlighting their role in the society. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Mostafavipointed to women’s achievements, saying holding such festivals to further introduce women’s role in the society, adding Ministry of Information and Culture was working to introduce women’s works and achievements.
Meanwhile other speakers also spoke related to women’s role and their challenges and asked for holding of such festivals to further introduce women’s role within society and their achievements.
At the end, Muslima Amani deputy director of Passport department, Kamila Sediqi deputy minister of commerce and industries, RahimaRezayee director of private tribunal of Kabul province, MarimaDuraniower of Merman Radio and Dr. Shukurdokht Jafari were bestowed with awards while SiminHasanzada former deputy minister of publication, Homaira Saqib, ZuhraRezayee, Masouma Habibi and ZemarmaNeyazi were appreciated with certificates.
