“Terrorism is a Major Threat to Humanity & Global Peace,” Dr. Abdullah

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met UN under-secretary general and head of the office for counter terrorism, Voladimir, Voronkov at Sapidar Palace on Monday.
According to BNA report, welcoming UN official to Kabul, Dr. Abdullah praised organization’s efforts of countering terrorism and support Afghanistan’s war on terror. “Terrorism is the enemy of the humanity and a threat to peace and stability of the world. Afghanistan is in the frontline of global war on terror and committed to any kind of cooperation with international community to uproot militancy,” he added. Praising Afghan government and people’s efforts in war on terror, UN official assured full support of the country, adding the agency was ready to organize capacity building programs for Afghans to fight terrorism and seek ways financing terror. Welcoming regional consensus on fighting terrorism, Dr. Abdullah said Afghanistan was playing active role in regional meetings of countering terrorism.
