President Ghani Welcomes Last Afghan Pilgrims’ Convoy

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani welcomed Sunday the last convoy of afghan pilgrims at Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA).
First, minister of hajj and religious affairs Faiz Mohammad Osmani while welcoming the Afghan pilgrims praising the country’s President for his attention to pilgrimage, saying that based on instruction of the president, further facilitations have been provided to the Afghan pilgrims this year.
Representing the Afghan pilgrims, Haji Mohammad Amin Muhidi said that Afghan pilgrims in their worships have prayed for lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Afterwards, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in his speech by welcoming the Afghan pilgrims said that by blessing of your prayers and worshiping peace and lasting stability would be maintained in Afghanistan, adding that the government was obliged to provide necessary facilitations to Afghan pilgrims in particular families of martyrs.
“Hajj process has been followed in a better way during the past four years, but it is not satisfactory and I’m here to hear problems and shortcomings facing the process and take necessary step to address them,” President Ghani said.
He asserted that his government was committed to provide further and better preparations for hajj process, instructing ministry of hajj and religious affairs to adopt new measures for upcoming hajj process.
