Kabul (BNA) During an annual conference of security entities’ senior leadership, Chief Executive (CE) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said Afghan security forces should be used against the enemy and they should act far from any political and electoral issues. BNA reported the other day.
He stressed that Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) should not stand against ordinary people, because, the people from remotest areas of the country send their sons to joint ANDSF ranks, the agency added.
Appreciating ANDSF fights and sacrifices, C
E Abdullah asked security sector to act with their subordinates apart from tribal and linguistic connectivity and show national unity in their words and actions.
Addressing the security forces, CE Abdullah said you were the real defenders of this homeland and have a special position among the people.  If one day, peace is restored in the country, you would be proud of your efforts and sacrifices, Dr. Abdullah added.
He said this is our responsibility to prepare the ground for ensuring lasting peace in Afghanistan.
He also asked security entities’ leadership to pay serious heed to decrease civilian casualties, draw the people support, cooperate with international donors and never use schools and clinics for war.
He added the enemy failed to reach its malicious designs last year, as they tried to take the control of many provinces and prevent holding elections there, but the Afghan security forces have made sacrifices to pave the way for holding elections and we believe that by using past experiences, we would be able to ensure security of upcoming elections, CE Abdullah stated.
