Kabul (BNA) Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh participated and delivered speech in a conference titled ‘Open Justice and Role of People in Judicial Organs’ held on Late Thursday.
In the conference, second vice president considered open justice and open government as two new concepts, delivering a new dimension of democracy.
Danesh said that Afghanistan joined the Open Government Partnership (OGP) in 2016, adding that after holding the last Global Summit of Open Government Partnership in Canada, it was decided that Afghanistan should codify and approve its second national action plan in connection with open government.  “Today, I’m suggesting in this conference that the second national action plan of open government, open justice and other essential judicial issues should be included in the plan to make the government implement it,” Danesh stressed.
He added lots of efforts have been made for creating relevant mechanisms and policies for open government and open justice during the past four years.
In the conference, Danesh further said that transparency in finance and being responsive in incomes and properties as well as open trial were two important principles in open government and open justice.
