Turkey to Continue Cooperation with Afghanistan,President Erdogan

Kabul (BNA) At the sideline of the Fifth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) held in Dushanbe, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan, BNA reported. During the meeting, CE Abdullah thanked Turkey’s continued assistances to Afghanistan, particularly, that country’s President attention. Calling Turkey Afghanistan’s old friend and strategic alliance, CE Abdullah asked that country to continue cooperation with Afghanistan. Afterwards, President Erdogan called Afghanistan among Turkey’s close alliances and assured of his country’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan in all fields. Both sides also exchanges views on fighting insurgency, peace talks and upcoming presidential elections.
