Uzbekistan PM, Minister Qayoumi Discuss Enhancing Economic Cooperation

Kabul (BNA) Uzbek delegation comprised of government officials led by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Oripov arrived at northern Balkh province and was welcomed by the Presidential Senior advisor and acting minister of Finance Mohammad Homayoun Qayoumi, a statement said.
The Uzbek delegation visit aimed to boost economic and trade cooperation, the statement from the Ministry of Finance said yesterday.
In the meeting, Minister Qayoumi and Uzbek Prime Minister discussed Hairatan to Mazar-e-Sharif railway, import of energy (electricity) from Uzbekistan, establishing energy infrastructures of Afghanistan, Uzbekistan’s cooperation and investment in textile industry an agriculture including purchase of fertilizer, export of cotton and establishing a sample gardening in Afghanistan, the statement said.  Two sides agreed that the technical team consist of the two sides work on the above-mentioned issues and finalize agreements to be signed till the net session which will take place in Tashkent.  Likewise, in the meeting, two sides emphasized on strengthening and expanding economic and trade relations, the statement added.
