Justice & Judicial Committee Investigates Cases on Violence Against Women

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice-President, Mohammad Sarwar Danesh chaired the meeting of justice and judicial committee assessing the case of violence against women, said a statement from his office Monday.
Report about the cases of sexual abuse and violence against women in 2018, report about the supreme court bureaus, primary court and appellate court of the center and provinces from the fourth quarter of 2018 as well as the issue of prevention of desperation of the Islamic Rituals while using the country’s national emblem have been discussed in the meeting, said the statement.
The country second vice president asked the Supreme Court for seriously investigating the cases of sexual abuse against women in the government administration, the statement quoted.
The justice and judicial committee said a technical committee should be chaired by the Human Rights Commission to investigate and collect the available statistics and share the result for the final decision with the next meeting of the justice and judicial committee, according to the statement.
