Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in a ceremony held on the occasion of commemoration of Milad ul Nabi or the birth anniversary of Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) congratulated the auspicious day to all Muslims in particular the Muslims and people of Afghanistan.
In the ceremony held yesterday in Sapidar Palace with participation of religious ulamas, political figures, members of cabinet and representatives of national assembly, the country’s chief executive said that holding such gathering could provide an opportunity to today’s generation to know that Prophet of Islam was against violence, insecurity, poverty and injustice as continued in our country.
“Peace is a clear message of Islam and tradition of Prophet of Islam; therefore, reflecting the voice of peace to the people is a big responsibility in our region. If we practiced and decided what Prophet of Islam said regarding peace, undoubtedly the situation would be much better,” chief executive said. He added that nothing has been done to change the situation unfortunately.
In the ceremony, religious scholars also spoke and said that Prophet of Islam fought against injustice, prejudice and violence and founded the society the base of which was social justice. Pointing to current situation of the country, religious ulamas asserted that the ongoing war in the country and misusing the national resources for the benefit of particular groups were against the tradition of Islam and Islamic teachings, stressing on maintaining peace in the country. They complimented the Prophet of Islam as trustworthy and honesty personality, saying that the book he delivered to the humanity was comprehensive. They added that they would cooperate and stand beside the government for maintaining peace in the country.
