CE Considers Codification of National Social Immunity Policy as Principal

Kabul (BNA) Chaired by Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the High Council for Elimination of Violence against Women was held yesterday.
In the meeting, deputy minister of women affairs first delivered report related to modality of implementation of the commission’s previous decisions and spoke about developments and challenges in this regard, the statement from CE press office said.
Afterwards, the ministry of labor and social affairs delivered a report about codification of national social immunity policy, considering increasing poverty, violence against women and children, lack of exact figures of affected people and others as the main reasons for codification of the policy.
After hearing the reports, the country’s chief executive considered codification of national social immunity policy as significant, adding that he agreed on the policy in general, but it should be discussed in detail in separate meetings. Deputy Minister of women affairs spoke related to modality of raping a small girl in Badghis and modality of countering its factors, saying that three individuals involved in the case have been arrested and investigation was underway in this regard.
