President Ghani Officially Introduces His Chief of Staff

Kabul (BNA) President Ashraf Ghani officially introduced Mohammad Shakir Kargar as his chief of staff today morning and extended gratitude to Dr. Faizullah Kakar for his efforts during his tenure as the chief of staff.
According to BNA report, the president underscored that the political stratum of Afghanistan should stand in unison to ensure supreme interests of the country particularly in the peace process, referring to his inauguration speech.
He said it should be crystal clear that our call on political figures of the country is part of a cohesive plan, calling for a wide-ranging consensus for peace, fighting the spread of coronavirus and reforms.
The president termed building political consensus a fundamental duty of the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President that should be built on regular consultation and cooperation.
Mohammad Shakir Kargar expressed gratitude to President Ghani for putting confidence in him and entrusting him with this significant responsibility and added that he will move forward his duties by relying on the experiences of Dr. Kakar and through coordination, cooperation and consultation.
